My Pets

This is my pup, Chloe. She is napping and when I clicked the pic poor thing never even heard me. See she is deaf. Completely deaf. I found this out one day when the gardener had his edger turned on and was going to go thru our fence. Chloe was sleeping right on the inside of the fence, up against it, so when he was about to open the gate, poor thing never heard him and I quickly went and held the gate closed and woke her up and brought her in the house. She is old. Oh and needs her nails clipped.

This is one of the three gecko's we have. This is the one that disappeared last year for almost 2 weeks! Thought I did a post on that but I did not. But, you can go here and see how small they were when we first got them, man they were tiny. Last summer went to Disneyland and left on a Sunday and came home on Tuesday. I left the lizard cage open and the one in the pic above escaped! She wondered around our house for 9 days and then Serena found her one night in her room, coming out from under her bed. Totally fine, not a broken bone, no missing limbs and her tail intact. I was so happy! I cried. I certainly did not win the Mother Of The Year Award for that one.


Here is my awesome kitty cat Zoe. I have had her since she was a small kitten. I got her when my 16 yr old was just about 1 yr. So I would say she is 15 almost 16 yrs old! She loves laying outside in the sun, it prolly feels good to her old bones.

Beautiful Sky

This is what the sky looked like from my porch one night earlier this week, thought I would share it with you.

Flowers and Plants In My Yard ~ Part 2

These are small pink flowers, just love them.


These red ones are hard to see, sorry I didn't get a better pic. These are the ones that the hummingbirds just love.

This is something that just "popped up". Not sure what it is or what it will bloom to be. I had planted in this particular spot a plant from my mom that looked similar to this with these awesome orange flowers, but that was at least 6 yrs or more ago, when we did the addition to the house, I had to move them.


Spider plants have taken over this area and I just love them.



These are a succulent. The flowers are hanging down almost like a bell. This pic really doesn't do them justice, the color of them is actually a crazy red-orange.

Stay tuned for more on the small green ones, since I am not sure what they are I plan to take more pics before they bloom or die or do something.

Flowers and Plants In My Yard ~ Part 1

I love this plant! It is a Star Blooming Jasmin that was given to me by my X-Mother-in-law, may she rest in peace. She passed away a year ago last November and we were friends. She had given me this plant oh a long time ago, years, and it holds a special place in my heart. I look at it and smell it and it reminds me of her. It blooms all year or so it seems.


Here is a yellow little thing, it looks huge because I got right up close to it. It was windy yesterday when I took this pic, so I am surprised it turned out as well as it did.

This little one looks white, but it is indeed pink and yellow. I love this one, too.

Here is a huge Calla Lilly, growing in the midst of some red flower that I will post pics of in Part 2, that the hummingbirds just love.


These little dainty white flowers are growing out front in my flower beds outside my girl's bedrooms, almost like a ground cover. They are cute and easy to maintain.

Ok, this was Part 1 of some stuff I wanted to share with you all. Be sure to come back for Part 2 and see more plants and some small thing I have found growing and will take pics every week or so. So, we can see how and what they will grow into, since I have no idea as to what they are!

The Boys

It will be 3 years I have been babysitting them, since Ginger Boy was 1.5 yrs old! Can you believe it? I can't sometimes. They grow way to fast!

The Fort

Brandon at School

These are pictures from our back to school night at Brandon's pre-school. The first pic is his Franklin turtle he painted. He makes a lot of art, so much so that my 'fridge is never empty! I will have to take pics and post them for you all to see.

Serena and Ginger Girl

Here is Serena and Ginger Girl on Ginger Girl's 7th birthday. She had a bowling party at the local blowing alley here in our neck of the woods. It was fun, home-made cupcakes and lots of bowling or should I say gutter balls, or stuck balls, LOL

What's Up With My Wedding Dress?

Yes, that is my wedding dress and my beautiful Kylie is wearing it! We were talking one night about my wedding ( the second one, where she and my step-daughter were my brides maids) and about that day and how it rained for like 10 hours or more before my day. So, I told her to try it on , since I was sure I couldn't fit into it since it has been almost 9 years. She looks beautiful.

Long Time No Blog

Serena got an award last week for Most Improved in writing in her 1st grade class. Dad was off work that day and Kylie just happened to not have school that day, so they were able to be there to see her get her award. She was so proud, as we were, too.


Here is a spelling test she recently took, 100%. I display those on the refrigerator
to remind her of how well she has done.
